You are a highly organised and detail focused professional with experience of working in a busy housing, homelessness or support environment. You thrive in fast paced settings and are confident managing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.
You have experience of coordinating services or resources, ideally within accommodation, housing or support settings, and understand the challenges of balancing demand, risk and availability. You are comfortable working with complex information and making informed, evidence based decisions to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
You have strong communication skills and can build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including accommodation providers, landlords, colleagues and partner agencies. You are able to handle sensitive information with discretion and deal with challenging situations calmly and professionally.
You are confident using IT systems, databases and spreadsheets to manage information, monitor activity and produce accurate records and reports. You also have good numerical skills and experience of processing payments, managing financial information or reconciling accounts.

As a System Placement Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the council’s accommodation system, coordinating placements for households experiencing homelessness into temporary, supported and emergency accommodation. Working closely with casework teams and providers, you will ensure placements are safe, suitable and responsive to individual needs and risks.
You will oversee a high volume of placements across a range of accommodation types, making informed decisions to balance demand, availability, and safeguarding requirements. You will also monitor system capacity, track movements, and provide regular reporting to support effective service delivery and planning.
The role includes responsibility for processing and monitoring payments to accommodation providers, landlords and hosts, ensuring financial accuracy and value for money. Working in a fast paced environment, you will contribute to reducing reliance on unsuitable accommodation, improving system flow, and supporting better outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
