Type of Contract: Permanent position

Spa Supervisor required for our popular Spa. The Spa Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Spa Manager in the day-to-day operation of the spa, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high operational standards, and effective team performance. The Spa Supervisor acts as the Spa Manager’s deputy, taking responsibility for the smooth running of the spa in the manager’s absence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Spa Manager with the daily operation of the spa, ensuring all areas are presented to the highest standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the spa team to deliver outstanding customer service and treatment experiences.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the team during each shift, providing guidance, coaching, and problem-solving support.
  • Take full responsibility for the operation of the spa in the Spa Manager’s absence, making operational decisions to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor treatment schedules, therapist productivity, and staffing levels to maximise efficiency while maintaining excellent guest care.
  • Conduct daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring all operational and health & safety checks are completed.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally, ensuring positive outcomes wherever possible.
  • Support the Spa Manager with team training, induction, coaching, and performance development.
  • Assist with stock ordering, stock control, and retail merchandising to ensure adequate product levels and attractive displays.
  • Encourage and support retail sales and spa package upgrades, helping the team achieve monthly targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, hygiene procedures, and health & safety legislation.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including rota management, payroll information, reporting, and maintaining accurate records where required.
  • Liaise effectively with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative working environment at all times.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Previous experience within a luxury spa or hospitality environment.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong guest service focus with the ability to resolve issues confidently and professionally.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of retail and treatment revenue.
  • Flexible, reliable, and willing to lead by example.
  • Competent with spa booking systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be willing to work long days and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must be level 2 & 3 or equivalent in Beauty Therapy.
  • Strong Sales skills to upsell additional services or products.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to assess clients’ needs and customise treatments accordingly.
