As Marcomms Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications activity that raises awareness of healthcare innovation, showcases research impact, and supports the Trust's sustainability ambitions. Working with colleagues across the NHS, academia and industry, you'll draw on significant experience delivering creative and effective marketing and communications campaigns informed by audience insight.
An excellent copywriter and editor, you'll be skilled at developing clear, compelling messages and translating complex information into engaging content for a range of audiences and channels. The role requires confidence in managing social media channels, planning and delivering events, and producing engaging digital content. Experience creating visual and multimedia content, including video and podcasts, alongside the ability to work across a variety of formats and channels, will be essential.
Joining a friendly, ambitious and supportive team, you will play a key role in helping advance sustainability and healthcare innovation across the Royal Devon and beyond. Based in either Exeter or Barnstaple, this hybrid role offers a mix of home and office working, typically requiring one to two days per week on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead marketing and communications for the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre (HRC) in Sustainable Innovation
- Promote the Trust's sustainability programme and net-zero ambitions, in line with its Green Plan
- Develop and deliver multi-channel campaigns across web, social media, PR, email marketing, podcasts, events and stakeholder engagement activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the NHS, University of Exeter, NIHR, commercial partners and research organisations
- Build engagement around sustainability, healthcare innovation and research amongst internal and external audiences
- Create compelling content including press releases, news stories, videos, case studies, newsletters and stakeholder communications
- Conduct market research, audience insight gathering and campaign evaluation to inform strategy and demonstrate impact
- Support the organisation of events and partnership activities that showcase innovation achievements
- Act as a trusted marketing and communications adviser to stakeholders across the HRC and sustainability programmes
Working Pattern
37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Occasional weekends and evenings as required.
Contract
This is a fixed term contract until 19/07/2027. For current NHS employees this post could be a secondment opportunity.
