The role involves dietetic assessment and support in a variety of clinical contexts including community hospital inpatients, a general clinic and you will also participate in the care of patients who are home enterally fed.
You will deliver group education to patients and healthcare professionals in Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon localities of Devon ICB.
You will also have the opportunity to line manage colleagues within the community team.
You may often be working alone but with support and advice from senior staff across the service.
Your ability to seek guidance when required is essential.
The community dietetic service is part of a wider 42 strong dietetic team including specialists in paediatrics, oncology, gastro, intestinal failure, cystic fibrosis and renal.
The department has good integrated services with other AHPs and is supportive in CPD opportunities.
You will contribute to projects, outcome measures, audit and training of both dietetic, medical students and other HCPs.
We will support you in developing your skills in a number of ways, including shadowing opportunities across the team.
You need to have current clinical inpatient and outpatient dietetic experience and access to a car at all times.

The hours will need to be worked between 8:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.
The pattern can be agreed between the successful applicant and line manager.
