- Provide high-level executive support to a senior leader
- Manage a complex and ever-changing diary, ensuring priorities are effectively coordinated and delivered.
- Act as a key liaison with MPs, elected members, government departments, businesses, community representatives and other senior stakeholders including Police and Fire.
- Work in a highly visible, externally facing role, representing the office professionally and building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Coordinate briefing materials, meetings, events and public engagements, ensuring the senior leader is fully prepared.
- Manage sensitive, confidential and politically significant matters with discretion and sound judgement.
- Lead on reactive and urgent issues, responding quickly and effectively to changing priorities and emerging situations.
- Take ownership of actions, correspondence and follow-up activity, ensuring matters are progressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and priorities can shift at short notice
