The Hawthorns care home is a 46 bed specialist facility for elderly people with dementia in Evesham.

About the Role

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you'll play a key leadership role within the home, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care, compliance and resident wellbeing.

You'll provide day-to-day clinical leadership, support and develop the nursing team, and help create a positive culture where colleagues feel valued and residents receive exceptional care.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and management of the home.
  • Leading and coordinating the nursing team to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
  • Promoting dignity, independence, privacy and choice for every resident.
  • Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to the nursing team.
  • Maintaining high standards of clinical governance, compliance and quality.
  • Taking lead responsibility for Infection Prevention and Control, including audits and continuous improvement.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, GPs and external healthcare professionals.
  • Supporting recruitment, induction and development of new colleagues.
  • Conducting supervision, probation reviews and annual appraisals.
  • Helping to foster a culture of engagement, learning and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as the senior leader within the home in the Registered Manager's absence.

About You

We're looking for a confident and compassionate clinical leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and supporting others to succeed.

You’ll have

  • Registered Nurse qualification with a valid NMC Pin.
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead or Senior Nurse.
  • Experience working with older people.
  • A strong understanding of person-centred care and clinical governance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for coaching and developing others.
  • A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care that enhances every resident's wellbeing and quality of life.
