The Role
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries across planned routes while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles, including double-deck units
- Completing scheduled multi-drop deliveries efficiently and safely
- Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring loads are secured correctly and transported safely
- Maintaining delivery paperwork and driver records accurately
- Planning routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery schedules
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
- Complying with all DVSA regulations, tachograph legislation, and health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK driving regulations and transport legislation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties
