The predicted salary is between 44595 - 54505 £ per year.

The successful candidate will be expected to work with professional colleagues and local managers in the efficient running of the Service. Candidates will be expected to take part in clinical research in gynaecology and would be expected to lead on research projects and present findings at conferences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills in urogynaecology.

The post is ideally suited to any:

  • Post CCT surgical trainee who aspires to develop their clinical and surgical skills prior to applying for a consultant post.
  • Any Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainee at ST6-7 or equivalent level of training who wishes to complete an Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM) in urogynaecology.
  • Any overseas Doctor within or outside the EEA wishing to pursue further specialist training in urogynaecology.

The Doctor must be eligible to work within the UK and must have completed training in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology equivalent to ST6-7 level or above. The Doctor must hold the MRCOG or equivalent qualification. The post is also suitable for those trainees who wish to acquire urogynaecology specialist training and undertake research/audit in preparation prior to applying for an RCOG recognised subspecialist training programme in urogynaecology within the UK.

The fellow in Urogynaecology will work within the Urogynaecology Service. Our nationally accredited by BSUG Urogynaecology Service places strong emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach to female pelvic floor dysfunction and there are close links between the department and affiliated specialties within and outside the trust including Urology, Colorectal, Neurology, Geriatrics, Orthopaedics, Radiology, Renal Medicine and Physiotherapy Departments.
