This is a varied, hands-on role combining
workshop preparation and assembly with site-based engineering and installation projects across the UK. You'll support the delivery of specialist engineering solutions across a range of environmental and infrastructure projects.
The role would suit someone with a background in
engineering, construction, manufacturing, installation or maintenance who enjoys practical work, travelling to different sites and developing their technical skills. You'll work both independently and as part of a close-knit team, with genuine opportunities for career progression.

Key Duties
- Prepare and assemble equipment and components prior to project mobilisation.
- Assist with installation activities on project sites across the UK.
- Use hand tools, power tools and installation equipment safely and effectively.
- Load, unload and organise materials, equipment and site resources.
- Maintain tools, plant and equipment to ensure they are ready for use.
- Assist with site set-up, installation works and general project activities.
- Follow site procedures, risk assessments and health and safety requirements.
- Support the efficient operation of workshop and storage facilities between projects.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
Requirements
- HNC in
Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant vocational qualification in engineering, manufacturing, maintenance or construction.
- Practical experience in
construction, installation, maintenance, fabrication, workshop or engineering environments.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools, including 110V equipment.
Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to travel and stay away from home during the working week when required.
- Ability to commute reliably to
Buckfastleigh when not working on project sites.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems and procedures.
- Experience working on civil, mechanical or structural engineering projects.
- Additional engineering, manufacturing or construction qualifications.
- CSCS card or other relevant site accreditation.
- Experience working outdoors or near water.
- Experience with concrete works, fabrication, assembly or installation.
- Interest in environmental, infrastructure or sustainability-focused projects.
