Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
- Assist with planning and delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all children
- Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with colleagues and parents
- Support children with personal care routines where required
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff to meet individual needs
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Ideal Candidate for Early Years Practitioner Roles
- Relevant nursery or early years qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare)
- Proven experience working in nursery or early years settings
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills as Early Years Practitioners
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
