Job Description
- Employer Engagement Consultant
- Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
As our Employment Engagement Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of an exciting new programme by developing strong employer relationships and creating accessible employment, work experience and progression opportunities for participants.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with a diverse range of employers to understand their workforce needs, identify suitable vacancies, develop work tasters and work trials, whilst driving and promoting inclusive recruitment practices, flexible working and reasonable adjustments that support participants to move closer to work.
What you will be doing
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers on a local, regional and national basis across a range of sectors.
- Identifying employment, work experience, volunteering, sector-based and progression opportunities that support participant goals and aspirations.
- Proactively engaging employers to understand recruitment needs and match suitable participants to available opportunities.
- Promoting inclusive recruitment practices, accessibility, flexible working and reasonable adjustments that support diverse hiring.
- Support employers to understand participant strengths, skills and potential, helping to challenge misconceptions and reduce barriers to employment.
- Coordinating interviews, recruitment events, employer presentations, workplace visits and other employer engagement activities.
- Working closely with Advisors, Team Leaders and the Partnership & Engagement Managers to match appropriate opportunities for participants.
- Supporting participants through the recruitment process, including employer introductions, interview preparation and transition into employment where appropriate.
- Monitoring vacancy conversion, employer engagement activity and employment outcomes, using insight to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Representing Ingeus at employer forums, networking events and stakeholder meetings, promoting the service professionally and positively.
Qualifications
- Ability to adapt communication styles to meet employer needs, as well as strong presentation skills.
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPI’s and company targets.
- Experience of generating employment, recruitment, business development or progression opportunities.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Confidence in using data to inform activity and decision making.
- Experience using CRM, case management or similar systems to maintain accurate records.
- Desired experience: Experience of working in employability, recruitment, sales, skills, health, wellbeing or community based services.
- Knowledge of local labour market trends, employer recruitment practices and growth sectors.
- Experience supporting services for people facing barriers to employment, health conditions, disabilities or additional support needs.
- Experience organising employer events, job fairs, networking activity or sector-based opportunities.
- Experience promoting diversity, inclusion and accessible recruitment practices with employers.
- Experience working within a commissioned, contract-led or publicly funded service environment.
