Our client is a specialist in the pharmaceutical packaging industry and are now looking for an experienced Folder Gluer Bobst Operator to join their team.
This is a full time, permanent position working 4 days per week on the double day shift (5am - 2pm / 2pm - 11pm) Some flexibility may be required as/when overtime is available.
Responsibilities
- Setup and Make-Ready: Read job specifications and work orders, adjust machine feeds, folds, and glue heads, and run test pieces.
- Machine Operation: Monitor production speeds, feed materials, and keep the line moving efficiently
- Quality Control: Check fold accuracy, carton alignment, glue coverage, and structural integrity throughout the run.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Clear jams, clean glue application systems, make mechanical adjustments, and perform routine preventative care.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a clean workspace, follow safety rules, and log production records accurately
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Hands-on background operating folder gluer equipment. (Preferably Bobst)
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong technical skills to handle format changes, fine-tune settings, and use basic hand tools.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot defects early and measure items accurately using standard or metric tools.
- Physical Reliability: Comfort standing for long shifts, lifting packaging materials, and working in a fast-paced environment
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is up to Β£38,000 and is dependent on experience. Benefits include 25 days annual leave, private healthcare, and competitive pension contribution.
