Due to continued growth, our client, a successful electronics manufacturer, is looking to recruit an Electronics Repair Engineer to join their small, professional engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults and repairing highly specialised electronic systems returned by customers, ensuring products are restored to full working order and meet specification.
Key Responsibilities as an Electronic Repair Engineer
- Perform fault diagnosis on electronic systems returned by customers.
- Conduct component-level fault-finding on both analogue and digital PCBs.
- Repair and rectify identified faults in electronic assemblies and systems.
- Carry out PCB repairs, including de-soldering and soldering to replace defective components.
- Use a range of electronics test and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and verify faults.
- Test repaired systems to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain high workmanship standards and accurate documentation of repairs.
Requirements
- Experience using electronic test and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong fault-finding skills to component level on analogue and digital PCBs.
- Ability to de-solder and solder components on PCBs.
- Methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Ability to work to high quality standards to rectify faults effectively.
