Location: Southampton and Eastleigh areas
Salary: £26,246 per annum, pro rata (actual based on contracted hours is £11,350 p/a), plus overtime
Hours: 16 hours per week, plus overtime and additional training. Usually two shifts per week, afternoons and evenings, shift times are either 15:00 or 17:00 -23:00 (M-F) and between 12:00 – 22:00 (weekends) – mornings are not required.
Roster: 3-week rolling roster to include weekends and Bank Holidays. Unsuitable as a second job due to rostering.

About the Role
As a Part-time Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team, and being a responsible, trusted ‘parent figure’ for looked‑after children. Your responsibilities include:
- Safeguarding children and building strong, positive relationships with children who have experienced traumatic, abusive and difficult backgrounds
- Supporting their educational and emotional development, helping them to heal and thrive
- Planning and co-ordinating engaging, fun activities, encouraging the children’s preferences and leisure interests
- Providing a structured, safe, well‑maintained, and comfortable home environment
- Following regulatory processes which includes good administration, care planning and daily record keeping
About you
To succeed as a Part‑time Residential Childcare Support Worker, we’re looking for candidates who are:
- Dedicated to child safeguarding
- Empathetic and effective communicators, able to form trusted, meaningful relationships with children
