Duties of a Workshop Controller at our client’s company:
- Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, managing workflow and productivity
- Allocate jobs efficiently to technicians and support staff
- Ensure all accident repairs meet quality standards and are completed on time
- Support technicians with light MET duties as required
- Monitor health and safety standards within the workshop
- Maintain an organised and safe working environment
- Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements for the Workshop Controller position:
- A minimum of 10 years’ shop floor experience within an accident repair environment
- Strong knowledge of bodyshop processes, repair methods, and MET procedures
- Previous supervisory or control experience is preferred
- Hands-on MET technician experience is essential
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Proactive approach, detail-oriented, and committed to quality
- Able to support and motivate a team effectively
