This is a fantastic opportunity to earn whilst you learn as a Pharmacy Assistant. This is a stepping stone leading towards a rewarding pharmacy career.

Prior pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided on the job. You will need to hold GCSE certificates in English & Maths.

You will develop your skills in customer services and dispensing to provide medicines to patients safely and efficiently. You will be fully supported by our dedicated educational team and advice will be given if you wish to extend your career further and use this as a step towards gaining a professional qualification as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.

Your job will involve providing the right medicines, to the right patient at the right time and maintaining stock so it is available to nursing staff 24 hours a day. Our semi-automated department uses robots, computers and digitally secured medicines storage cabinets. There is a significant amount of heavy lifting involved in the role. Manual handling equipment and full training will be provided in use of all systems, equipment and processes.

You will be required to provide operational services (dispensing/distribution/stores/porterage) at both Eastbourne District General Hospital and Conquest Hospital on an as required basis but will be appointed a base site at Eastbourne for which you'll spend most of your time.
