East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking experienced Clinical Support Workers to join our teams across our acute care settings.
As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will use your skills, knowledge and experience to provide high-quality, compassionate care, supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey.
You will play a key role in delivering safe and effective care while contributing to positive patient outcomes and experiences.

- Record patient observations including vital signs and escalated concerns
- Support clinical procedures such as wound care, venepuncture, and catheter removal (after training)
- Assist with medication administration and oxygen therapy (after training)

- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient dignity and confidentiality

These vacancies are open to experienced Clinical Support Workers who
- Have previous experience working in a healthcare setting as a Clinical Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant.
- Hold the relevant qualifications required for a Band 3 Clinical Support Worker (Higher Level)role, as detailed in the person specification.
- Have a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.
- Can demonstrate the knowledge, skills and experience required to work effectively within an acute healthcare environment.
- Are able to commit to a full week of induction training at the start of employment.
- Are able to work flexibly across a range of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our services.
- Hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent recognised qualification)
Please note: Applicants who do not meet the essential qualification requirements for the Band 3 Clinical Support Worker (Higher Level) position will not be eligible for appointment to this role.
Applicants must be able to provide evidence of both their qualifications and relevant healthcare experience as part of the recruitment process.
