Hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30am–11:00/11:30am, with optional Saturday mornings and some evening hours from 6:45pm–7:45pm. Hourly pay rate: £13.48 per hour, with mileage paid at 50p per mile.
A kind, caring, and reliable Personal Assistant is wanted to support a 45-year-old electric wheelchair user living with Muscular Dystrophy and respiratory failure. The ideal person will have a positive, understanding, and easy-going personality, with a genuine desire to help others. Reliability is extremely important, and this role is suited to someone looking for a long-term position who can build trust and learn a regular routine.
Duties include:
- Support with showering and dressing (using a ceiling hoist)
- Household tasks
- Helping with hobbies
- Shopping
- Other errands such as posting parcels
- Evening support to help with getting ready for bed may also be available once the routine is established

Additional requirements: Non-smoker due to medical reasons, vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission.
