We have an exciting opportunity for a Progress Tutor in Construction to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College. The Student Progress Coach provides academic, pastoral and progression support to a caseload of students across vocational programmes, helping them to engage, achieve and progress successfully through their college journey. Working closely with learners and staff, the role monitors student progress, promotes wellbeing and attendance, and delivers targeted interventions to support positive outcomes and progression into further study, apprenticeships or employment.

Responsibilities

  • To support a caseload of students on a variety of vocational programmes
  • To support College attendance, retention and achievement strategies by providing a high-quality pro-active student support service
  • Work closely with Course Leaders to ensure regular updates on student progress
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging and enriching group tutorials across College

What we are looking for

  • Possess a minimum of a level 3 qualification in education (or a relevant subject)
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with students and student groups
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Be able to develop and organise group work and intervention strategies
  • Have experience of working with young people aged 16-19
