The Best Connection are proudly recruiting for a Picker & Packer to join a well-established client in East Grinstead, operating within the food production industry and supplying high-quality products to commercial and private customers.

Hours for Picker and Packer: Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm to 8pm or Tuesday to Saturday 6pm to 4am

Key Responsibilities of the Picker & Packer:

  • Working in a chilled environment picking and packing food products accurately to customer orders
  • Weighing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch
  • Ensuring products meet quality and food safety standards, reporting any issues to the relevant department
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the packing area
  • Working closely with other departments to meet daily targets
  • Complying with health and safety and food hygiene regulations at all times
  • Placing damaged goods into the quarantine area for return or reporting
  • Assisting with the movement of stock from goods-in to the warehouse or packing area, including stock put-away

Requirements of the Picker & Packer:

  • Must be comfortable working with and around meat products
  • Previous experience in food production, packing, or butchery is desirable but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
