Dunstable Town Council is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and organised Cultural Services Assistant to help develop and deliver our growing cultural offer across Dunstable.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who loves turning ideas into reality.
You could be developing a new activity at Priory House, working with local creatives and community organisations, helping deliver an event, promoting our cultural programme on social media or identifying funding opportunities for an exciting new project.

What You’ll Be Doing
Working closely with the Cultural Services Manager and colleagues across the Council, you'll help develop cultural opportunities that are inclusive, diverse and accessible to our community.
You’ll be involved in
- Planning and delivering events, workshops, functions and activities at Priory House.
- Helping develop Priory House as a heritage destination, including supporting the use and development of its exhibition space.
- Supporting cultural events, activities and projects delivered by teams across Dunstable Town Council.
- Building relationships with artists, creatives, community organisations and cultural groups.
- Developing partnerships and supporting opportunities for volunteers to get involved.
- Identifying potential grants and external funding opportunities and assisting with applications, reports and budgets.
- Collecting data and information to help us understand our audiences, demonstrate impact and plan future services.
- Marketing and promoting the Council's cultural programme through social media, websites, print and other channels.
- Understanding different audiences and finding creative ways to increase engagement and participation.
- Setting up and supporting events, functions and workshops, including some evening and weekend activity.
- Acting as Duty Manager at Priory House when required.
