We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Data Centre Manager (Site Lead) to oversee the operations, maintenance, and security of our state-of-the-art data center facility.

This pivotal role requires a proactive leader with a passion for technology, exceptional management skills, and a deep understanding of data center infrastructure.

As the Site Lead, you will ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of all systems while fostering a safe and efficient working environment.

Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold the highest standards of information security and network integrity.

Duties

  • Lead the daily operations of the data center, ensuring seamless management of server management, network infrastructure, and systems engineering activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate technical support for hardware, software, network issues, and disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
  • Manage and supervise a team of technical staff, providing guidance on network support, security protocols, and project execution.
  • Implement and maintain robust information security measures including network security protocols, firewalls, Active Directory management, and compliance with ITIL standards.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like Solar Winds and v Sphere; conduct analysis to identify potential improvements or vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure effective disaster recovery planning and testing to safeguard critical data and maintain business continuity.
  • Oversee network infrastructure including Cisco routers, LAN/WAN configurations, DHCP services, IIS servers, SQL databases, VMware environments, Azure/AWS cloud platforms, and remote access solutions such as VPNs.
  • Conduct regular audits on network security measures; manage firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems to protect against cyber threats.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams using tools like Service Now and Jira to track issues, projects, and maintenance schedules.
  • Develop organisational strategies for capacity planning; optimize system performance while adhering to organisational goals for efficiency.
