Connect Driver Solutions is recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver based in Dunbar, covering end-of-life tyre collection routes across Scotland. Our client is an established waste management business offering consistent Monday to Friday work, your own assigned vehicle from day one and a structured overnight rota.

What's on offer?

  • Temporary to permanent opportunity
  • Monday to Friday, start times between 4:30am and 6am depending on route
  • £15.23 per hour, rising to £20.30 per hour after 48 hours, paid weekly
  • £26.20 overnight allowance - overnights available at least every second week
  • Own vehicle assigned from day one

As a Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

  • Collecting end-of-life tyres from garages, commercial businesses and waste facilities across Scotland
  • Manually loading and unloading tyres at collection points and the depot
  • Completing all required paperwork including waste transfer notes accurately
  • Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects promptly
  • Providing a professional and courteous service to customers at all collection points

The ideal Class 2 Driver will have:

  • A valid Class 2 licence - new driver's welcome
  • Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • A good level of physical fitness due to the manual handling requirements of the role
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interaction
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
