The predicted salary is between 18900 - 23100 £ per year.

  • 1. To plan, prepare and cook a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centres around residents preferences, requests or any special dietary requirements
  • 2. To be active and encouraging, provide advice and guidance for the team ensuring the Care Home is a friendly, supportive working environment
  • 3. To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCAP, Health & Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, ensuring a safe environment within the home
  • 4.

Implement, monitor and maintain cleaning schedules that meet the requirements of HACCAP, and ensure that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean.

  • This will include the washing up of pots, pans and dishes as required
  • 5.

Ensure sufficient food stocks are ordered and received from suppliers and stock rotation is taking place to maintain optimum freshness of all food stuff ensuring the highest quality expected with the Care Home

  • 6.

Responsible for all kitchen equipment ensuring it is in full, safe working order, reporting any damage or faults to the Caretaker and Home Manager and following up any appropriate action

  • 7. To be understanding towards residents and their needs and attend resident/relative meetings.
  • 8. Regularly monitor and assess resident’s satisfaction with the catering service provided in their home and respond accordingly and positively to ideas and feedback
  • 9. Helping to serve meals and drinks throughout the day, taking care to present meals and refreshments in an appealing way, with polite and courteous service
  • 10. To contribute to team meetings, ensuring good communication and participate in the induction and training of newly appointed staff.
  • 11. To respect residents at all times, especially their right to privacy, dignity and choice.
  • 12. To respect and maintain confidentiality regarding employee and resident’s personal information at all times.
