A leading infrastructure contractor delivering long-term projects across the utilities sector is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With a strong pipeline of secured work and projects running for several years, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering both immediate contract work and a clear pathway into a permanent position.

Your new role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial management of a major infrastructure programme, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing subcontractor procurement, administration and account management
  • Preparing and reviewing applications for payment
  • Valuing variations, compensation events and change control processes
  • Producing cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates
  • Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
  • Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers and site teams to maximise commercial performance
  • Assisting with risk management and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value improvement

This is an immediate requirement offered on an initial contract basis with a transition into a permanent role after approximately 15 weeks.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline
  • Previous experience working within utilities, water, environmental, aviation, nuclear or other major infrastructure sectors
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced project environment
  • Full right to work in the UK
