We are seeking to recruit an experienced, competent, and motivated Senior Healthcare Assistant to work alongside the multi-disciplinary team within the Section 136 suite and across the acute wards. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for any healthcare professional with an interest in this field.

The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and delivery of high-quality patient care within a professional team. If you don't already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, RDaSH are offering this post alongside the opportunity for you to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification relevant to your role.

As an apprentice within RDaSH you will be given the opportunity to gain experience, learn work-related skills and obtain all the tools needed to thrive. An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Around 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

  • To take a lead role in the section 136 suite when occupied under indirect supervision from the lead nurse in Skelbrooke.
  • Undertake agreed activities as delegated by a registered nurse, with patients/service users under the direct/indirect supervision of the qualified staff.
  • Contributes to the assessment, implementation and delivery of individualised evidence-based care.
  • To maintain accurate records electronically through System 1 and report any changes that are identified and report all actions to nurse in charge/named nurse/care co-ordinator.

The post holder is required to take personal responsibility to incorporate the 6 C vision of care into their care delivery.
