The post holder will play a key role in proactively developing the effective use and interpretation of information to support Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber (RDaSH) NHS Foundation Trust. The role encompasses collation, analysis and interpretation of information and reporting requests across a wide variety of operational services, development of routine and ad hoc reports presented in a clear and understandable format and supporting managers and clinicians in defining their information requirements to meet strategic, operational and clinical needs.

To provide support for a high-quality information management service and engage with clinicians, senior managers and colleagues from a wide range of teams and services to support them in their use and interpretation of information. Business analysis of clinical and management information and reporting requests to support business planning and performance improvement.

Main duties of this post include:

  • Undertaking business analysis and scoping for new information and reporting requirements.
  • Collating, analysing and interpreting clinical and management information requests from a wide variety of sources and across a range of operational services.
  • Working with tools such as SQL, Power BI and SSRS.
  • Proactively engaging with colleagues in the Trust and other key contacts to achieve a shared understanding of information requirements and support the development of effective working relationships.
  • Providing technical expertise to staff within the Information team and other colleagues as appropriate on a range of topics, including highly complex queries to extract datasets and creating reports using advanced features of reporting systems/software.
