These flexible opportunities are ideal for Cover Supervisors who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working on a daily supply basis in Diss and the surrounding areas, supporting secondary schools with short-term cover needs.
Duties as Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity
- Support the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards
- Adapt quickly to different school environments and expectations
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a school or youth setting
- Confident in managing classroom behaviour and engaging learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, reliable, and able to work across a range of subjects
- A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
