Are you passionate about innovation and making a real difference in healthcare? University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking an Engagement and Service Manager to join our Digital Innovation Hub (DIH).
The Digital Innovation Hub brings together clinicians, researchers, industry partners and innovators to accelerate the development, testing and adoption of cutting-edge digital technologies that improve patient care, staff experience and NHS services. As the Hub continues to expand its partnership with University College London, we are looking for a highly organised individual to help grow our innovation community and strengthen engagement across both organisations.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, research and technology. You will lead activities that raise awareness of the Hub’s offer, build relationships with stakeholders across UCLH, UCL and external partners, and organise events that bring together innovators. You will play a central role in managing the Hub’s project intake and governance processes, ensuring new ideas are reviewed efficiently and innovators receive an excellent experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, programme or operational coordination. Strong organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to build productive relationships with a wide range of audiences are essential.
As the Engagement and Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and day-to-day operation of the UCLH Digital Innovation Hub. Working across UCLH, University College London (UCL) and external partners, you will help build a thriving innovation community by promoting the Hub’s activities, developing stakeholder relationships, and creating opportunities for collaboration between clinicians, researchers, academics and industry.
You will plan and deliver engagement activities, including workshops, presentations, networking events and promotional campaigns. Working closely with communications teams, you will create high-quality engagement materials, maintain the Hub’s digital presence, and increase awareness of the Hub’s offer and impact.
A core part of the role involves coordinating the Hub’s innovation intake process. You will act as a point of contact for innovators, manage project proposals through governance processes, maintain accurate records, and ensure applicants receive clear and timely communication.
You will also support governance forums through agenda preparation, minute-taking, action tracking and reporting, helping to ensure effective oversight of the innovation portfolio. In addition, you will monitor pipeline activity and performance metrics, producing reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
