Are you passionate about protecting communities through immunisation? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated B6 Vaccinations & Immunisations Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving vaccination uptake, reducing health inequalities, and protecting vulnerable populations across Kirklees.

As a specialist practitioner, you will provide expert support, advice, and leadership across the range of children's vaccination and immunisation programmes. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, partner organisations, and local communities to ensure the safe, effective, and equitable delivery of immunisation services. This role is ideal for an experienced Nurse with a strong understanding of Children's vaccination programmes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving population health.

Main Duties of the Role

  • Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of local vaccination and immunisation programmes.
  • Provide specialist advice and expertise to healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and partner organisations across WYVIC.
  • Monitor and analyse vaccination uptake data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support initiatives aimed at increasing vaccine confidence and reducing health inequalities.
  • Deliver training, education, and competency assessments relating to vaccination and immunisation to the team.
  • Support the investigation and management of immunisation incidents, complaints, and service concerns.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with primary care, community providers, local authorities, and NHS partners.
  • Ensure vaccination programmes are delivered in line with national guidance, policies, and best practice.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and transformation projects.

This role is not applicable for sponsorship and candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK.
