An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated sonographer to undertake a band 8a role which will allow the right candidate to expand their knowledge and skills in day-to-day management of an ultrasound department, and enable them to make a real difference and improvements for all staff. Includes 15% retention and recruitment allowance.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing one of the imaging modality services of the Community Diagnostic Centre and Ealing Hospital Ultrasound Departments on a day-to-day basis.
- Undertaking imaging and being responsible for the training of other radiographers and, where necessary, students.
- Line management responsibilities and assisting in the day-to-day running of the radiology department.
- Coordinating and, where reasonable, meeting waiting targets relevant to the area.
- Leading on issues relating to clinical governance and equipment maintenance for the modality.
- Undertaking clinical work and maintaining a high standard of work for own and other members of staff.
- Deputising and providing support for the clinical lead sonographer.
- Maintaining and supervising waiting list targets for the modality.
