What skills and experience we're looking for

Newbury Park Primary School is seeking an inspirational and committed Deputy Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional leader to work alongside the Headteacher and established leadership team to continue our journey of improvement and ensure that every child receives an excellent education within a safe, nurturing and ambitious environment.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in the strategic leadership and development of the school.

Working closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher for Quality of Education and Standards, Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion and Achievement, and wider leadership team, you will contribute to ensuring the highest standards across all aspects of school life.

  • The successful candidate will initially take strategic responsibility for:
  • Behaviour and attitudes
  • Safeguarding and child protection
  • Pastoral systems and pupil wellbeing
  • Mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Pupil leadership and voice

You will provide leadership, challenge and support to colleagues, ensuring that our systems and approaches enable every pupil to feel safe, valued and ready to learn.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to whole-school improvement, develop leadership capacity across the school and play an active role in shaping the future direction of Newbury Park Primary School.

Specific leadership responsibilities may evolve over time in response to the needs and priorities of the school.
