A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a high performing operational manager to join the Women's and Neonates senior leadership team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as Deputy General Manager (DGM). The successful candidate will have strong operational management skills, and will be able to establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders and enjoy being part of an ambitious, high performing team.

You will have experience of managing access targets, budgets, a good understanding of the NHS performance framework and well-developed numerical and analytical ability. As an excellent communicator you will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide reflect the Trust's values.

The DGM will provide effective operational management support to the Women's and Neonate Services, assisting Clinical Directors and Service Leads as required and ensuring that the service is responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible clinical and performance standards.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring service delivery against strategic and business plans throughout the year to ensure successful delivery.
  • Working with the General Manager to produce accurate, high quality business cases for service developments.
  • Working with the Service Manager, Lead Nurse, Clinical Leads and wider teams to achieve sustained improvements.
  • Deputising for and acting on behalf of the General Manager.
  • Ensuring that the directorate services provided are of a consistently high quality and deliver an excellent patient experience.

Work closely with internal teams to devise systems proactively to manage service demands and ensure that these are fully implemented.
