Exciting opportunities exist for dental clinical assistants to join the team at UHBW. The successful candidate will be required to assist the dental nursing team with the smooth throughput of workload on the departments. The role offers excellent career progression opportunities with the potential for the right person to develop their knowledge and skills which could contribute towards an application for dental nursing.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to working hours, duties will be across the working week. Good communication skills are essential, as well as an empathetic approach to patients. You will work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the patients of Bristol experience a high standard of service and a good patient journey. Previous experience of working in the NHS would be an advantage.
This post would be based mainly in the Bristol Dental Hospital, though on occasion there may be some duties at the South Bristol Community Hospital. The post holder will be guided by the dental nursing team regarding the designated work areas they will work in and will be responsible for ensuring they participate/contribute to the efficient use of resources and safe working practices.
The post holder will support the clinical team in the provision of safe, high quality patient care that meets the needs of the patients accessing our services. They will be accountable for the collection, delivery and transfer of instrumentation to clinics within University of Bristol Dental Hospital. The post holder will support the distribution of clinical supplies across the clinical departments and assist with the preparation and maintenance of the clinical departments.
The post holder will undertake all on-the-job training as is deemed necessary for them to carry out their duties within the department in a safe manner. They will be expected to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
