DB01/20/KE Personal Assistant / Care Assistant

9.30am to 1.30pm on a Monday and a Thursday.

There can be a degree of flexibility around start times. To be discussed at interview.

The Employer lives with her family in Mawsley.

She has fibromyalgia and various other health conditions.

The level of support required will vary dependent on how her conditions are affecting her on any particular day.

Main Duties

  • Personal Care as required.
  • General light household duties, i. e. vacuuming, ironing, tidying etc.
  • To assist with the preparation of meals and drinks as needed and cleaning and tidying the kitchen afterwards, as necessary.
  • Accompanying on local shopping trips and local appointments - therefore driving licence holders preferred.
  • The Employer has an automatic Motability vehicle which you will be driving if you are a licence holder (insurance restrictions may apply).
  • Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant.

The successful applicant will be friendly, able to give empathetic support, while respecting the employer’s independence but also able to take instruction.

The Employer has a medium sized friendly dog. There is no pet care involved but you must be comfortable around animals.

The Employer is a smoker however she does not smoke inside the home.

Applicants must be flexible, trustworthy and active with a good sense of humour.

Please note you will be directly employed by the person (or their representative) that you will be assisting. The Council is not the employer.
