Environ Property Services is seeking an experienced and reliable Damp Proofer to join our growing Damp Division.

The successful candidate will carry out high-quality damp proofing, timber preservation, mould remediation and associated property repairs across residential and commercial properties throughout London and the surrounding areas.

The role requires excellent workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and rectify damp-related issues while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, health and safety, and professionalism.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out damp proofing treatments in accordance with survey reports and specifications.
  • Install chemical damp proof courses (DPC).
  • Undertake tanking and waterproofing systems.
  • Carry out timber preservation treatments.
  • Complete mould remediation and mould prevention works.
  • Remove and replace contaminated plaster.
  • Install specialist damp-proof membranes where required.
  • Carry out rendering, plastering and making good following damp treatments.
  • Basic carpentry works, including replacement of skirting boards.
  • Identify and report any additional defects or remedial works required.
  • Work closely with Surveyors, Coordinators and Management to ensure works are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain excellent communication with customers throughout each project.
  • Ensure all works comply with current British Standards, Building Regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Take before, during and after photographs of all completed works.
  • Submit accurate daily job updates, reports and photographs via the Company's job management system.
  • Maintain Company vehicles, tools and equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition at all times.
  • Ensure all Company property is properly maintained and securely stored.

  • Follow all Company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete and comply with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Report hazards, accidents and near misses immediately.
  • Maintain safe working practices on all sites.
  • Customer Service
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Arrive punctually for appointments.
  • Explain works clearly and professionally to customers.
  • Respect customers' homes and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy upon completion.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete all job reports accurately.
  • Upload photographs and supporting documentation promptly.
  • Record any additional works or variations required.
  • Report material shortages and equipment issues immediately.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed before leaving site.
