A PA is needed to support a boy with Autism, to cover maternity leave 5 hours (term time) and 10 hours (school holidays) per week in the HU8 area of Hull.
Further information: A Personal Assistant preferably with some experience of Autism is required. The ideal PA will be patient, kind, and caring. They will have excellent communication skills, a good sense of humour, and a sense of fun.
Your main duties will be to encourage social activities, whether this be in the home or accessing the community. The young boy enjoys spending time at home playing on his tablet and watching TV. He likes to be in the garden spending time on his scooter or bike, and he also enjoys going to the local park. The young boy will need close supervision as he can be sometimes challenging.
Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority/employer.
