A friendly, sociable and lovable young man who enjoys being active and having fun is looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) for 20 hours per week during the school term and 30 hours per week in the 13 weeks of school holidays.
He likes bowling, swimming, playing football, visiting arcades, and playing with balloons. He wants a Personal Assistant to support him in living as independently as possible, while having company and help to join in activities he enjoys.
The PA will help him get out and about, access his community, pursue his hobbies, and provide reliable assistance with daily tasks so he can feel confident and supported. The role focuses on enabling him to make choices and take part in things he enjoys.
The PA will assist with practical tasks, accompany him to appointments, go out for walks, trips, or activities, join in his hobbies, and help him plan his day. Regular support with personal care is required, including washing, dressing, and help with toileting, which must be carried out with dignity and respect.
Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.
