The predicted salary is between 30394 - 37148 £ per year.

This role is pro-rata. The salary you will be receiving is £23,486.49 per annum. This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College. In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Department.

Any offers of appointment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly CRB), a certificate of good conduct if applicable, plus receipt of satisfactory references, Occupational Health clearance, an understanding of safeguarding and qualifications verification. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within 'Regulated Activity' within a specific place (i.e. the College). This role is classed as working within Regulated Activity. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. BACKGROUND TO THE POST

Reporting to the Head of School, the Curriculum & Learner Officer will provide dedicated, high-quality administrative and liaison support to the Curriculum team. You will act as a key point of contact throughout the entire learner journey—from initial application to successful progression—ensuring that students, parents, and carers are supported and informed. The postholder will help the college foster a culture of high expectations and inclusivity, ensuring every student has the resources they need to achieve and progress into further study or employment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attendance and Welfare Support
    • Absence Management: Proactively monitor daily registers and follow up on student absences through phone calls and emails to students, parents, and carers to ensure high attendance levels.
    • Parental Liaison: Serve as the primary administrative link between the curriculum area and parents/carers regarding student welfare and progress.
    • Bursary & Support: Provide initial advice on student bursaries, transport, and funding, assisting students with the application process to remove barriers to learning.
    • As a first point of contact for support: provide support for students with welfare concerns, signposting to our Safeguarding, Inclusion, Welfare teams as needed.
  • Applicant & Recruitment Events
    • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning, organisation, and delivery of Parent/Carer evenings, Parent/Carer reports, Applicant Interview/Taster Days, and Open Events.
    • Interview Management: Work with MIS to support the booking system for applicant interviews, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for prospective students.
    • Enquiry Handling: Ensure all course specific enquiries are responded to professionally, logging details on the ProSolution system and booking follow-up consultations with curriculum staff where necessary.
  • Progression & Achievement
    • Progress Monitoring: Support the Curriculum Team in tracking learner achievement and retention data, assisting with the administration of student progress reviews.
    • Progression Tracking: Assist in gathering data on student destinations and supporting "next step" activities to ensure students successfully transition to further study or employment.
    • Learner Voice: Coordinate the collection of learner feedback to help the curriculum team improve the quality of the educational experience.
    • Support college behaviour management processes and procedures.
    • Support Curriculum teams in the completion of exam access arrangement applications.
    • Technical Support: Utilise college systems including Pro-Solution, and Pro-Monitor to maintain accurate student records.
    • Maintain an up-to-date, course-specific knowledge base to provide accurate guidance to learners and external stakeholders.
    • Complete administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the curriculum area.
  • General
    • Outstanding ability to build rapport with learners and engage professionally with parents and external agencies.
    • Act as a role model for the College’s values, fostering a culture of high expectations and inclusivity.
    • Attendance at evening and weekend events will be required as part of a rota to support recruitment.
