Qualifications
Possession of a recognised teaching qualification (minimum level 5)
Possession of a degree in the relevant discipline.
Level 2 in English and Mathematics or equivalent or willingness to undertake within 12 months of appointment
Possession of a Masters qualification or willing to work towards. HE POSTS ONLY
Possession of assessor and/or verifier awards or willingness to achieve in probationary period
Possession of a formal Management Qualification
Additional qualifications in subject specialism relevant to the Curriculum area
Experience
Industrial experience in an appropriate discipline
Experience of teaching a wide range of levels and is evidenced by high student satisfaction and high success rates.
Experience of effectively tutoring and supporting individuals which is evidenced by high success rates and student satisfaction
Experience of successfully coordinating and managing a portfolio of programmes
To show initiative to develop curriculum based on demands of the sector
Experience of using and applying quality improvement processes related to the curriculum
Proven commitment to continuous quality improvement through a range of activities
Demonstrable track record of driving forward significant organisational development and change
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Respond effectively to and meet a range of learning styles
Demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to meet customer and curriculum needs.
Communicate in all forms clearly, succinctly and in a timely manner
Demonstrate a sound knowledge of current trends in Further and Higher Education particularly in relation to the industry
Manage staff and students effectively to deliver a high quality learning experience
Demonstrate the ability to deliver on a range of targets related to College priorities
Build successful business relationships with internal / external stakeholders
Knowledge and evidence of digital fluency, including the use of Microsoft programmes and a willingness to engage in ongoing learning in digital technologies
