What we are looking for:

We have an exciting opportunity for a versatile and proactive multiskilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This role requires a broad range of technical skills including mechanical and electrical to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production equipment and processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping things running efficiently.

This role supports the efficient running of our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of all plant equipment and services, combining both electrical and mechanical skill sets. This role is essential to ensuring maximum equipment uptime and overall productivity.

Please note the shift times for this role are:

  • Days: 07:00 - 15:30 Monday - Friday
  • Nights: 21:00 - 07:00 Monday - Thursday

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure safe and effective operation of machinery in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with production and other departments to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Time-served engineer with relevant NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
