We are looking for a proactive and results-driven
Business Development Manager to join our team.
Your primary responsibility will be to focus on promoting our Pallet Network solutions, while also cross-selling Gregory Distribution's wider portfolio.
This role requires strong sales expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities while showcasing the value and efficiency of our systems and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Actively seek and secure new business opportunities to grow revenue.
- Sell our services and systems effectively, demonstrating value and efficiency benefits.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that exceed expectations.
- Proactively seek out new sales opportunities using a multi-channel approach
- Constantly seek new markets, partnerships, and opportunities to expand the business.
- Reporting & KPI Management
- Create detailed sales reports and track customer KPIs to monitor performance.
- Maintain records of all leads, engagements and forecasts
- Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Strategic Thinking & Innovation
- Think outside the box to develop creative sales strategies.
- Identify opportunities to save money and improve efficiency for both the company and customers.
- Work closely with depot managers and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support onboarding of new accounts and ensure smooth transitions to operations.
- Continuous Growth and Representation
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Attend networking and conference events to build industry connections and represent Gregory Distribution professionally.
- Maintain close working relationships with Pallet Network commercial teams
- Self-Motivation
- Take ownership of targets and objectives, working proactively to achieve results.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Required Experience
- Proven experience in business development, ideally within logistics or distribution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Highly self-motivated, solution-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
