Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.

Here’s the exciting bit… A day includes:
- Provide insurance and safety advice to employees in line with Company policy and procedures and current legislation.
- Manage the day-to-day handling of the business' insurance claims and assist the Insurance Manager and Safety Team in achieving departmental objectives by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing product, employee and public personal injury claims, liaising with stores, insurers and solicitors.
- Investigating claims and obtaining documentation.
- Ensuring solicitor letters and court claim forms are handled within required legal deadlines.
- Providing advice and dealing with property claims, proving third-party negligence to recover losses for the business.
- Motor claims and liaising with insurers to support risk management solutions.
- Rehabilitation support to employees following workplace accidents in conjunction with employer liability insurers.
- Attending regular meetings with solicitors, brokers and insurers to ensure processes, documentation and risk management systems support effective operations.
- Providing advice and information to Customer Service and People.
- Monitoring changes in legislation and court rulings that may impact insurance and safety within the business.
- Attending quarterly meetings with third-party cost consultants dealing with landlord insurance matters.
- Regularly checking the Display Screen Equipment (DSE) database, providing advice and carrying out assessments for Head Office employees when required.
- Maintaining and updating the Safety Handbook on the Superdrug and Savers Store Intranet.
- Providing eye test advice and Specsavers vouchers upon request.
- Checking invoices through Bottomline to ensure accuracy, prevent duplication and allocate costs correctly.
- Assisting with ad hoc requests both within and outside the department.
- Producing reports and providing data analysis as required for internal reporting purposes.

What you'll need:
- PC skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A good understanding of personal injury, property and motor claims legislation and processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
- A flexible and adaptable team-player mindset.
- Confidence communicating with a wide range of people and building positive working relationships.
- A positive, energetic and professional approach to work.
