Hours: 22.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 1 day working from home and 2 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.

Role Purpose:

The buying assistant role is critical in supporting the effective running of the category to deliver the commercial plan. Working within the commercial trading team to coordinate promotions and ensuring the accurate and effective administration of our products, to enable the brand to provide a breadth of range inclusive to all our customers, at a price they love. This role reports to Senior Buyer for Superdrug Stores Plc.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage promotional end to end process including loading of promotions and queries as well as requesting promotional material from suppliers

Own and execute POS management

Processing and checking financial retros as well as raising invoices

Ensuring that New product and supplier creation are seamless and in line with business deadlines

Processing changes to ensure Superdrug maintains its competitive nature within the market

Opportunity to progress skills within Buying through trade reporting when team are on annual leave

Sample requests from suppliers for various marketing activities

Core Skills

Superbly organised with history of prioritising workload(s)

Diligent with strong attention to detail

Desire to challenge the norm

Comfortability with Microsoft, in particular Excel

System friendly (there will be a few to learn!)

What you need to succeed:

Ideally degree education but not essential

Proficient on Microsoft programs especially Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Previous experience in Buying environment desired but not essential
