Key Responsibilities and Duties, Skills and Expertise

  • Demonstrate skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all children
  • Deliver interventions effectively to support student progress.
  • Assist teachers with lesson and activity planning, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Understand and fulfil responsibilities within the classroom and whole school context
  • Specific Responsibilities
  • Build positive relationships with children, promoting high self-esteem, independence, and inclusion.
  • Support the development and delivery of individual education, support, and care plans.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policy.
  • Contribute to planning differentiated learning activities for children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and professionals to support children's development.
  • Contribute to a stimulating and safe learning environment.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of children's needs and the ability to provide appropriate support.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders including parents, carers, and professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to achieve common goals.
