We are recruiting for a Nurse Support to join our team at Autumn Grange Care Home, based in Creswell, S80. Autumn Grange offers specialist nursing care and support for up to 53 people. As a Nurse Support, you will oversee care delivery, supporting the senior care and nursing team by allocating tasks and ensuring high standards of care at all times.

Schedule: Rota basis, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays.

Hours: Full-time opportunity, working 3 nights per week (33 hours).

Rate of pay: up to £13.84, depending on experience and qualifications.

Required: NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.

What you will be doing:

  • Allocate staff as requested to ensure an effective skill mix.
  • Oversee the diary for each shift, communicating with external healthcare professionals as required, whilst supporting the Registered Nurse to update and write risk assessments and care plans, ensuring staff are aware of any changes.
  • Maintain communication between visitors and nurses.
  • Manage medications, enquiring with the pharmacy, GP’s and other external health teams as needed.
  • Deliver personal care as appropriate to clients’ needs.
  • Assist the care staff with personal care, fluid and dietary intake, pressure area relief and checks.
  • Provide leadership to ensure high standards of care delivery at all times.
  • Complete checks for relevant documentation ensuring all information is recorded.
  • Communicate with the nurses regularly throughout the shift.
