Quarriers Fife Adult Supported Living Services is currently recruiting for a

Relief Female Support Worker to join our friendly and experienced team.

Our service is based within a beautiful and peaceful setting in Cowdenbeath, comprising of six cottages.

One cottage serves as a central hub where staff can access support, resources, and peer networking opportunities.

The remaining five cottages are home to the people we support, providing a welcoming environment that promotes independence and wellbeing.

In this role, you will support adults with learning disabilities and emotional or mental health support needs to live as independently as possible.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities such as cooking, household tasks, social and leisure activities, and, where required, personal care.

As a Relief Support Worker, you will play an important role in providing flexible support across the service, helping to cover annual leave, sickness absence, and periods of increased support.

Every shift offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, building positive relationships with the people we support and helping them achieve their personal goals.

You will encourage independence, promote inclusion, and support individuals to access opportunities, activities, and hobbies within their local community.

Working Pattern

As a Relief Support Worker, you will work on a flexible, as‑needed basis to support the service and the people we support.

  • Our day shifts typically run between
  • 7:45am and 8:00pm , and flexibility is essential as our services operate

24 hours a day, 7 days a week . Relief staff have the opportunity to accept shifts that fit their availability while supporting the needs of the service.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work, additional hours alongside other commitments, or an opportunity to gain valuable experience within social care.
