We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team in Coventry.
Whether you are a newly qualified therapist looking for your first post or an experienced Band 5 seeking a new challenge, we can offer a rewarding role with excellent opportunities for support and professional development.
You will work with children and young people aged 0–19 years, supporting a wide range of speech, language and communication needs across a variety of settings.
Our therapists work collaboratively with families, education settings and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure children and young people achieve the best possible outcomes.
The Children’s Speech & Language Therapy Team aims to provide a high quality service to children, young people and their families.
We provide assessment, interventions, and advice to children and young people aged 0-19 with a Coventry GP.
We also support children in Coventry special schools and specialist settings with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
We have developed clinical pathways and a competency programme in Speech, Language, Voice , Stammering, Dysphagia, Deafness, Cleft Palate, Alternative & Augmentative Communication and young children “At Risk” of SLCN.

The Role
- Assess, plan and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
- Work with other speech and language therapists and speech and language therapy assistants in the team.
- Work in partnership with parents, carers, education staff and health professionals.
- Work in a variety of settings across community, education and clinic.
- Contribute to training and supporting the wider children’s workforce.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.
- Participate in service development activities and quality improvement projects.
About You
- Holds a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Is registered with the HCPC.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Values collaborative working and is keen to learn and develop professionally.
- Can work independently whilst also contributing positively as part of a wider team.
