Senior Digital Programme Manager | University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust
The post holder will support the Senior Digital Management Team by providing effective programme management support for the successful delivery of the EPR development roadmap.
They will manage the overall scope, objectives and priorities for the programme and ensure delivery structures are in place to drive progress and deliver all identified objectives.
They will provide Day-to-day leadership of the programme and stakeholder interaction.
They will be accountable for the development and management of risk registers and risk mitigation plans of the overall programme and supporting projects.
The post holder will also be responsible for leading the implementation of other large-scale digital programmes and projects which impact across the Trust.
Programmes will typically involve significant organisational change management and may require the solving of complex ICT issues.
In addition, the post holder will have line management responsibility for a number of permanent and temporary project staff.

The Senior Programme Manager will provide strategic leadership for the delivery of major digital transformation programmes, including the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) roadmap.
The role is responsible for programme governance, stakeholder engagement, change management, benefits realisation, risk management, budget oversight and the successful delivery of digital initiatives that improve patient care and operational performance.
The postholder will work closely with clinical, operational and executive leaders to drive innovation, continuous improvement and organisational transformation across the Trust.

- The Senior Programme Manager will be accountable for ensuring all plans, changes and outcomes have clinical support.
This may include development and delivery of surveys/audits to collect feedback on aspects of the programme from stakeholders and service users and the collation and analysis of data to inform decision making, working with the communications
- Use highly developed skills to involve and motivate colleagues to assure and successfully implement developments and improvements to the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record system.
- Develop capability within the organisation to support digital transformation.
- Transfer expertise and knowledge as appropriate, regarding innovation (including developing and delivering formal briefing/training to promote innovation) across clinical and operational teams as well as externally to other providers at local and regional level.
- Identify interdependencies, manage risks, model the potential impacts on the wider organisation, determine resource requirements and build in contingency where required.
- Support an overall programme structure for the successful delivery of the EPR development roadmap and other digital strategic programmes that ensures coordination across different activities, defines programme milestones and reports on the delivery of objectives.
- Contribute to the Digital strategic planning process, delivery of priorities and management of consequential adjustments to activities.
- Attend as appropriate, meetings with varied internal and external key stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of the programme’s objectives.
- Ensure an appropriate programme management framework is in place.
- Be accountable for the development of rigorous plans supporting all Programme’s projects
- Develop meticulous systems for outcomes reporting and benefits measurement; develop reporting mechanisms that clearly demonstrate progress and delivery
- Undertake regular audits applying meaningful indicators to demonstrate achieved outcomes and benefits.
- Throughout the redesign and change implementation process, put rigorous review regimes in place that ensure all possible outcomes and issues are considered, modelled and mitigated.
- Ensure that continuous improvement methods and culture are embedded within the teams and stakeholder groups.
- Be accountable for the development and management of risk registers and risk mitigation plans.
