Full Time | Monday to Friday | September Start
Hays Education are working in partnership with a specialist educational setting in Coventry to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time roles starting in September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, and physical disabilities. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, build independence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Your new role
- Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with classroom activities and learning programmes
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
- Supporting students with communication and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual learning needs
- Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs is essential
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with SEN
- Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
